With its constant endeavor to diversify, KGISL with its exposure in the Healthcare Industry and software services, tied up with Heartland Information Services (HIS), Ohio, USA, in the year 1998 to provide overseas documentation services to the US Healthcare Industry.

As an Overseas Service Provider for HIS, a part of the HCR-ManorCare group (a Fortune 500 company), the division started with 30 employees.

Since then the division has rapidly expanded to employ close 1700 employees working full-time by May 2001.

Medical Record dictations from hundreds of Doctors from the US were received at KGISL campus through a secure satellite communication system and transcribed on Microsoft Word based proprietary transcription software before being delivered back to the US hospitals. The document deliverables adhered to 98% accuracy levels prescribed by the US Healthcare Industry and reached respective hospitals within turn-around-time [TAT] of anywhere between 30 minutes to 8 hours maximum.
